INDIVIDUALIZED TREATMENTAn individualized treatment plan is developed by the interdisciplinary team of professionals that include physicians, nurses, teachers, licensed therapists and mental health associates. These professionals join with family and a positive peer culture to lead, guide and create an interactive and flexible environment for change. Our treatment plans and therapeutic assignments are individualized and based on each child's abilities and needs.

THERAPEUTIC COMMUNITY:  An interactive resident community revolves around personal accountability, leadership, group support, social skills and assertiveness training.  Therapeutic intervention provides residents with individual, group and family therapy conducted by licensed clinicians. Certified Recreational Programs demonstrate balance in daily living with physical education and leisure skill activities played out in a variety of settings to include, but not limited to local community parks, ropes courses, hiking, camping and river running.

EDUCATION:  A fully accredited private school insures that students advance in their learning.  The educational program places singular emphasis on developing a student's self esteem through specialized academic instruction with behavioral and social-emotional components. Instructors work in tandem with the therapeutic community in providing a positive and successful learning environment. A curriculum of English, Science, Social Studies, Math and Physical Education bring balance to the individual student abilities, needs and assessments including those with learning disabilities and behavior disorders.  School instruction and study time meet all accreditation requirements. The credits that are earned at Copper Hills are transferable. At the time of discharge, an official school transcript is forwarded to the appropriate home school district.
